Initiating Organization: Bureau of Public Transportation Agreement Type: Open End Services Requested: Construction Management Selection Process: Modified This is a project-specific, open-end contract to assist the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Bureau of Public Transit / Multimodal, in providing construction management and related support services for the Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority (SRTA), doing business as rabbittransit (Capital Area Transit – CAT), Capital Region Headquarters Operations, Maintenance, and Transfer (O/M/T) Facility Project (“The Project”) The Project consists of the construction of a new 22,000 SF facility on Cameron Street between Herr Streets and State Bridge. The Project includes demolition of several existing buildings. The Project encompasses 20 acres of earthwork including special soil geotechnical treatments. The Project also includes stormwater infrastructure, utilities, and roadway/traffic improvements. Coordination with the relocation of a cell tower by others within the site is also involved. The Project will be phased to maintain CAT operations during construction. The Project site is located next to a cemetery, a City park, and a City park maintenance facility, currently being constructed.
