EllisDon is the Construction Manager for the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation (TWRC) Lake Shore Boulevard East - Don River Bridge and Public Realm (LSBE). EllisDon invites eligible companies, firms or joint ventures to submit proposals for LSBE RFP#10 LSBE Temporary Multi Use Path. The work to be performed under this contract involves the construction of a Temporary Multi Use Path and Electrical and Traffic Signal Work, located on 500-580 Lake Shore Boulevard East, Toronto, Ontario. The scope of work is summarized by the following: 1. General items include bonding and insurance coverage, site mobilization and demobilization activities, temporary traffic control measures, and coordination work such as utility adjustments and utility protection to support safe and uninterrupted project delivery; 2. Removals cover demolition and disposal of existing features including full and partial depth asphalt and concrete pavement, curb and gutter elements, boulders and vegetation clearing/grubbing, ground-mounted signs and pavement markings, and removal of steel beam guide rail and other miscellaneous existing infrastructure as required; 3. New Construction includes earth excavation with material management, placement of granular and crushed aggregate bases, asphalt paving works (tack coat, base and surface courses), accessibility features such as tactile indicators and curb ramps, concrete curb and gutter installations, and temporary traffic separation using freestanding concrete barriers; 4. Electrical and Traffic Signal Work includes installation of conduits, hand wells and temporary supports, supply and erection of poles and mast arms with brackets, provision of LED traffic signal and pedestrian components (including countdown and accessible stations), pathway lighting, power supply installations, and associated control equipment needed to complete the signalized intersection and pathway lighting systems; 5. Provisional Items allow for potential scope that may be required during delivery, such as handling and disposal of asbestos-containing materials, paid duty officer support, qualified personnel allowances, and soil waste classification to address unforeseen site conditions and regulatory requirements.
