This project includes the addition of a 25,000-gallon diesel fuel tank to provide fuel to three generators serving pump station #5 at the Minneapolis Public Works Water Treatment Facility. Work includes extensive site excavation for installation of both buried and above grade fuel piping. Additional items to be installed include but are not limited to main fuel distribution pumps, return fuel pumps from each of the three generators, replacement of an existing day tank, electric circulation heater, transition sumps for transitioning from above grade to below grade piping, valves and control valves, controls, and electrical power.
