Ashburnham Drive Realignment & McFarlane Street Bridge Replacement Project. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. The preliminary design and draft Environmental Study Report (ESR) is complete. Preliminary, order-of-magnitude cost estimates for both the recommended road realignment works and the replacement of the McFarlane Street bridge: Cost estimate (2025 dollars) $27.8 million & includes approx. $17.3 million for the recommended road alignment and associated works plus 30% contingency & and approximately $10.5 million for the replacement of the McFarlane Street bridge, including associated retaining walls and a 30% contingency. Updates will be made spring 2027, or upon approval to move forward with design.
