Sealed bids are requested for the construction of a new building for Aitkin County. The building will include cold storage space and a wash bay for county vehicles. Bids must be prepared on the provided form and submitted in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked 'Bid Enclosed for Aitkin Boat and Water Building' on the lower left corner. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond for five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Owner, as specified. Checks or bonds will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails or refuses to promptly carry out the bid or enter into a contract. No bids may be withdrawn for forty-five (45) days after the bid submission deadline. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder if deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
