Notice of intent to exempt the construction contract for the Nehalem Valley Care Center renovation from competitive bidding. The Local Contract Review Board intends to authorize the use of the Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) alternative contracting method. Refer all questions to: Marc C. Johnson, president Nehalem Bay Health District Email: marc@nehalembayhd.org General Scope of CM/GC Services The District is seeking a CM/GC firm to participate in Construction Document development and Construction Administration phases as a member of a team with the District’s designated representatives, Architect and Engineering teams (SEA), and other Project consultants, and agencies to provide preconstruction services including cost estimating, to manage and coordinate the subcontractor bidding procurement, and the construction process. The CM/GC firm will be required to complete all work in accordance with all Owner requirements, applicable codes, authorities having jurisdiction, and energy efficiency programs. The scope of the services required within this CM/GC tender includes a full immersion into the design process to work as an integral team member with the Architects, Engineers, and Owners as we bring the documents to a final stage.
