Sealed bids are requested for the construction of a 6 classroom modular building for Union Elementary. The successful contractor will be responsible for all work described in the request, which includes meeting all regulatory requirements for the installation and/or construction of a modular classroom building in North Carolina. The contractor and all subcontractors must be appropriately licensed according to NC General Statutes. Bids must include references, preferably from other school districts. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid is required and must be included in a separate envelope within the bid package. Upon award of the contract, the contractor will be required to furnish a payment and performance bond, with the cost of all bonds included in the bid. Bids are to be binding for sixty days from the date of bid opening. The selection of a contractor will be based on cost, past performance on similar projects, production and delivery time after receipt of approved submittals, and time duration for onsite installation activities. The Brunswick County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
