Site work for a mixed-use development in Matthews, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and playground / park / athletic field.
The work consists of installing a 5-foot wide path from River Banks Road to the existing Four Mile Creek Greenway. This includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, grading, installing a pedestrian bridge, and constructing the concrete walkway. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws regulating general contracting in North Carolina and must be licensed by the North Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors for bids of $30,000 or more. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the contract sum must be submitted with each bid if the bid equals or exceeds $300,000, and may be in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed in North Carolina. Bidders must meet all terms and conditions imposed by administrating agencies as specified in the Project Standard Provisions section. The Town requires contractors to provide a drug-free workplace for any Town contract.
