The City of Port St. Lucie (City) provides wastewater collection and transmission services to customers within their service area via a network of lift stations and pressurized force mains that pump wastewater to either the Westport Wastewater Treatment Facility or the Glades Wastewater Treatment Facility. The primary function of the pump station is to transfer flow from upstream lift stations to the Glades Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF). This collection and transmission system includes several in-line booster pump stations, including the Northport Booster Pump Station. This project is needed to install flow meters and pigging stations. The contractor will be responsible for the installation of new force main connection on the existing suction and discharge sections of the Northport In-Line Booster Pump Station headers, including new flow meter assemblies and pigging stations. This project includes the installation of new 24-inch force manifold including fittings and valves future connections. This connection is located on the suction side of the booster pump station and will require a coordinated, temporary shutdown. This project also includes new 24-inch force main and 16-inch force main both located on the discharge side of the booster pump station. These force mains each include a stand-alone flow meter. The existing pigging station and containment will be removed and replaced with two new pigging entry ports to serve the 24-inch force main and the 16-inch force main. Also included in this project are all fittings, valves, appurtenances, pipe associated, connections to force mains, testing, magnetic flow meter installation and connection to PSL SCADA and associated demolition.
