The City of Oviedo is seeking qualified firms to perform the West Mitchell Hammock Road Corridor Safety Improvements project as per the City's specifications. Completion- (257) calendar days The proposed project entitled Mitchell Hammock Road Corridor Safety Improvements (aka Mitchell Hammock Road Widening SR 426 to Sharon Court) extends from just east of State Road (SR) 426 to approximately 300 feet west of South Lake Jessup Avenue for an overall length of approximately 3,750 feet. The project is a City of Oviedo project and involves the minor widening of West Mitchell Hammock Road to incorporate a raised median and an 8-foot sidewalk along the north side of the roadway. The specific improvements for project are as follows: overall widening of West Mitchell Hammock Road approximately 5 feet along the north side to include a 16 foot wide raised (sodded) median and an 8 foot wide sidewalk; additionalroadway improvementsinclude the milling and resurfacing of the roadway (both sides); drainage improvements including regrading of the on-site dry retention pond (swale), the addition of flume inlets, and the extension of the existing double 72" RCP cross drain to the north; minor utility work, including the relocation of a fire hydrant, access management improvements include median access; and signing and pavement improvements. Other construction elements include mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, regular excavation, embankment, installation of geosynthetic reinforcement, and sod.
