Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Northampton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Parking Lot Repair and Line Painting - Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School. The work includes pavement crack sealing and re-striping of parking areas, fire lanes, and accessible spaces. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete comprehensive pavement crack repair and line striping services for the school's parking lots and roadway areas. All work shall be performed in accordance with applicable Massachusetts state standards, local regulations, and industry best practices. General Requirements The project consists of pavement maintenance within the parking areas and access roads,including the repair of all visible cracks ranging from minor hairline cracking to larger cracks up to approximately 2 inches in width. The work also includes the re-striping of all existing pavement markings, including parking stall lines, fire lanes, accessible (handicap) spaces, EV charging spaces, and designated areas in front of the gym lobby. Surface Preparation o Clean all cracks thoroughly using compressed air, mechanical wire brushing, or other approved methods to remove dirt, debris, vegetation, and moisture. o Ensure cracks are dry and free of contaminants prior to application of filler material. Crack Treatment o Small Cracks (< 1/4 inch): Apply a high-quality liquid crack sealant suitable for fine cracks. o Medium to Large Cracks (1/4 inch to 2 inches): Route (if necessary) and fill using a hot-applied rubberized crack sealant or equivalent material designed for durability and flexibility under New England weather conditions. o Overbanding may be applied where appropriate to ensure proper sealing and longevity. Parking Stall Striping o Stripe all standard parking spaces with uniform dimensions consistent with current layout. o Include numbering of parking spaces where currently designated. o Use high-quality, traffic-grade paint designed for asphalt surfaces. Fire Lane Markings o Repaint all fire lane areas with red, traffic-grade paint. o Include clear and legible "FIRE LANE - NO PARKING" wording at appropriate intervals. o Ensure markings comply with local fire department requirements. The City reserves the right to reject any or all quotes in whole or in part if deemed in the best interest of the City.
