Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in Manteca, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,000-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility.
Removal and installation of new roofing over the canopy portions of building 3 at the Discovery Challenge Academy. Potential Bidders who attended the mandatory pre-bid job walk may submit written questions regarding the project by 6/2/2026. All questions should be emailed in writing to Robert.Hawkins@cmd.ca.gov. NO QUESTIONS will be entertained after 6/2/2026. REPLACE Roof Awnings on Building 3 at the Discovery Challenge Academy Contractor responsible for removing and installing new roofing over the canopy portions of building 3 at Discovery Challenge Academy in Lathrop, California. Contractors are to assume the materials have asbestos. Install 1/2 " DensDeck Prime coverboard over the deck and any insulation. All insulation and coverboard layers shall be fully adhered to the structural deck in accordance with engineer-approved wind uplift calculations and roofing manufacturer requirements. Prime the torch-grade roof cover board at the recommended coverage rate with selfadhering primer at a rate of 0.50 gal per 100 sq.ft. Allow the primer to dry before installation of the base sheet. Install (1) ply of smooth surfaced, self-adhering modified bitumen base sheet to the primed coverboard per manufacturer installation guidelines. Install one (1) ply of of Title 24-compliant UV-reflective mineral-surfaced torch-applied cap sheet. All materials shall be installed in accordance with the roofing manufacturer's written installation guidelines and details. Remove all existing pipe penetration flashings. Install new 4 lb. lead flashings at all standard pipe penetrations, fully integrated into the roof membrane per manufacturer details. For tall or oversized vent penetrations, provide reinforced or extended lead flashing assemblies as required to ensure full coverage, seal integrity, and compatibility with the new roofing system. Remove and replace existing face flashing from all two-piece reglet-mounted counter flashings. Existing reglet receivers embedded in the wall shall remain in place, provided they are in good condition and compatible with the new face flashing profile. Install new removable face flashings fabricated from 22-gauge kynar coated steel, color to match gutters, extending a minimum of 4 inches over the new base flashing. Installation shall follow Section 07 62 00 - Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim and be performed in a shingle-lap pattern with concealed sealant and splice plates where required. All joints, terminations, and transitions shall be watertight and fully integrated with the new roofing system. In areas where the existing flashing is too low, saw cut the stucco minimum 3" above the existing reglet receiver and install a step down reglet set in sealant and incorporate into the modified bitumen roofing system as required to ensure a water tight assembly. Remove existing drip edge and install new drip edge. Size and profile shall match existing conditions unless otherwise directed by the Owner. Installation shall be performed in accordance with Section 07 62 00 - Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim, SMACNA standards, and manufacturer-supplied installation details. Remove existing gutters and downspouts and install new 22-gauge Kynar-coated gutters and downspouts. Gutters to be minimum 5" on face. Gutters shall be contractor-fabricated from manufacturer-supplied 4' x 10' Kynar-coated flat stock and installed per the roofing manufacturer's approved details and Section 07 62 00 - Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim. All gutters shall be properly sloped and sized in accordance with SMACNA guidelines for the roof area served. Installation shall ensure watertight integration with adjacent fascia and drip edge components. Coordinate gutterplacement with fascia coverage to ensure continuity, alignment, and performance. Any materials that are suitable for recycling shall be recycled. Accomplish all work in accordance with the drawings and specifications contained herein. Accomplish all work in accordance with California Building Codes (2025 Editions). Perform the above-mentioned work at the Discovery Challenge Academy 700 Roth Road, Lathrop, California, 95330.
