Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Thomasville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
Qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for a new bus wash facility for Thomas County Schools at the Thomas County Transportation Department, 100 Charlie Ward Jr. Blvd., Thomasville, GA 31792. The project consists of site work, site utilities, concrete paving, and construction of a load-bearing masonry structure to house owner-provided wash equipment. The work includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure. Bids are to be submitted for a general contract covering all trades. The project cost range is approximately $600,000. Bidders must be properly licensed for their respective trades and able to obtain the necessary insurance and bonds, including a performance bond, labor and material payment bond, and insurance acceptable to the owner. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid amount must be submitted with each bid. Bids must remain valid for 60 days after submission. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Procurement and contracting documents are available after May 19, 2026, to prime bidders only, with a payment of $300 required. It is strongly encouraged for bidders to evaluate their current and future workloads concerning the project timelines. The successful bidder must begin procuring materials upon receipt of Notice to Proceed and have the facility ready for occupancy prior to December 31, 2026.
