Site work and paving for a civil project in Nashville, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
This project consists of pulverizing, addition of base course, shaping for acceptable drainage, and asphalt pavement construction, along with several areas requiring removal of bad subbase material and replacement with geotextile fabric and 3-inch Breaker Run on approximately 6.25 miles of Sand Lake Road, 0.25 miles of Black Joe Road, and 1 mile of North Mole Lake Road. The contract includes the following approximate quantities: Pulverizing and Grading (7.5 miles), EBS (3,500 cubic yards), Breaker Run (5,500 tons), Geotextile Fabric (5,000 square yards), 3/4-inch CABC Placement (38,500 tons), Hot-Mix Asphalt Pavement (14,000 tons), and 12 to 30-inch Culvert Replacements (1,200 lineal feet). Quantities are subject to change without notice prior to document distribution. The Town of Nashville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Town of Nashville within the last year or must be pre-qualified for this work 5 days prior to the bid deadline in accordance with Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid amount. Bidders must be experienced in municipal road construction.
