The project consists of milling, hot mix asphalt, joint/crack resealing, shoulder redressing, and markings for Taxiway B (North) and C at the Northwest Alabama Regional Airport. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid with a maximum amount of ten thousand dollars. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Bidders must be properly licensed contractors in the State of Alabama and indicate their current Alabama General Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their bid and on their bid. Each paper bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the owner, or electronically in PDF format with the same information as required for paper bids. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. Disadvantaged business enterprises as defined in 40 CFR Part 26 must have the maximum opportunity to participate. All bidders must make good faith efforts to subcontract to small business concerns owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The apparent successful bidder will be required to submit information regarding DBE participation. By submitting a bid, the bidder certifies that steel and each manufactured product is produced in the United States, with some exceptions available upon request. The Airport Authority reserves the right to waive informalities or irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
