Renovation of a mixed-use development in Calgary, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
CBE is installing a new video surveillance technology (VST) solution at many sites within the City of Calgary. While the scope of work will vary for each site, the overall scope of system upgrades will be undertaken through a coordinated effort by the security vendor and the electrical contractor and will generally include: supplying, installation and testing of new Cat 6 cabling and conduit from camera locations to data closets; where feasible, existing Cat 5 data cabling and conduit serving existing legacy cameras, and subject to testing (by the security vendor), may be repurposed, in place or rerouted as required (by the electrical contractor); installation and provisioning of new security cameras (by the security vendor); removal of legacy security cameras and peripherals such as mounting hardware (by the security vendor); demolition of existing conduit and cabling associated with the legacy solution as specified (by the security vendor), the extent to which will be determined on a site-by-site basis.
