The City of Athens intends to engage a qualified firm for professional engineering services for a full range of aviation needs at the Athens Municipal Airport (F44). Professional services include but are not necessarily limited to: grant application, project programming, detailed design, bidding and award, construction administration and inspection, grant closeout, and engineering evaluations. The anticipated scope of work over the next five years may include: land acquisition, surveying, project cost estimating, runway design and construction, access roadway design and construction, access taxiway and taxi-lane design and construction, rehabilitation/reconstruction of existing pavement, fuel tanks/fuel farm systems, hangar development, terminal renovations, construction or expansion, drainage improvements, airport perimeter fencing and access gates, electrical system design and upgrades, improvements to the automated weather observing system (AWOS), and other services requiring a professional engineer. Question Deadline 06/08/2026 at 5:00 PM CT Deadline for proposers to submit questions regarding the RFQ. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
