Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Tyner, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves the rehabilitation of an existing pump station. The work includes installation of new pumps, variable frequency drives, interior piping, valves, fittings, electrical and control components, and related appurtenances. The scope also includes removal and replacement of specified equipment, testing and startup, and all incidentals necessary for a complete and operational pump station. Each bidder must provide a Bid Bond of at least five percent of the base bid. The successful bidder must execute a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond and provide insurance as detailed in the General Conditions. The contract period is 45 calendar days from the date of authorization to begin work, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for delays. Bidders must have experience with similar projects in congested areas with multiple utilities and will need to provide references. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Small, minority, and women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to bid.
