Site work for a water / sewer project in Pontiac, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner is seeking a contractor(s) to replace existing lead water service lines (LSLs) and galvanized services requiring replacement (GRR). As part of this Contract it is anticipated that both private water service lines and public water services lines may need to be replaced. The selected contractor(s) shall be prepared to replace both the private water service line and the public water service line at any given location, regardless of initial scope. At no time should any lead or GRR piping knowingly remain as part of the water service line after the Work is completed and water service will not be restored until all lead piping is removed from the service line. Work on private service lines will typically take place on private property and within a building/premises. Private property access agreements (Temporary Use Agreements or TUAs) are required prior to any Work commencing on the private water service lines. Any work completed on private water service lines without a signed TUA will not be covered under the terms and conditions of this Contract. It is noted that partial service line replacements - replacing public side service lines while leaving lead or galvanized private side service lines or vice versa - are prohibited.
