Contractor services are required to perform the following tasks for the 2026 Force Main Inspection and Maintenance Project: For the Medfield force main: remove existing bypass connection and piping, and install pigging access/bypass connection. For the Rocky Branch and Holly Brook force mains: perform pigging of force mains, conduct pipe condition inspection using a "smart pig" internal inspection device, and provide access pit(s) for pipe inspection by Engineer. For the Forest Oaks force main: install pigging access/bypass connection, locate and raise to grade buried ARV manhole, and locate valve box and raise to grade. Contractors must be licensed to do the specified type of contracting in the State of North Carolina. All bids must include a non-collusive affidavit. Contractors and their subcontractors must comply with Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes, "Verification of Work Authorization," and provide required documentation or affidavits as requested. Each proposal must include a bid deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount in the specified form and conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The Town of Cary reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
