Site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Algonquin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a 13,700-square-foot educational facility; 33,900-square-foot educational facility; and 47,000-square-foot educational facility.

The proposed project consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for a CTE Addition (33,900 sf), Administration & Commons Addition (13,700 sf), Interior Renovations (47,000 sf), and related Site Improvements. Bid Release 1a is for electrical work required for relocation of a ComEd transformer. Prospective bidders should contact Kirstie Greatsinger at Lamp Incorporated to be placed on the bid list and will be granted access to SmartBid to download drawings for free. All contractors must have a Lamp Incorporated Qualification Statement on file, updated within the last year, to bid. Qualification filing must be completed using SmartBid. Contractors’ qualification statements are due prior to the bid due date. A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany the Bid Form. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid amount and a Certificate of Insurance within ten days of contract award. All performance and payment bonds must meet the requirements in the General Conditions. The successful bidder is required to pay Prevailing Wage for work under this Contract and shall submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or waive any bid irregularities. This project is tax-exempt. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held, and although not mandatory, it is strongly urged that all bidders attend to fully understand the project requirements. Bidders failing to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the project and the existing conditions at the scope review may be rejected.
