Sealed bids are invited for the construction of 0.057 miles of bridge and approaches on West Flowers Road, identified as Local System Bridge Program (LSBP) Project No. LSBP-25(61) in Hinds County, Mississippi. The principal items of work include mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of existing precast concrete and detour bridges, removal of asphalt pavement, unclassified and excess excavation, placement of crushed stone, right-of-way markers, maintenance of traffic, installation of traffic object markers, agricultural limestone, fertilizer, seeding, mulching, silt fencing, wattles, loose riprap, geotextile under riprap, and various bridge components such as prestressed concrete piling, precast concrete slab units, barrier rails, precast concrete caps, and wings. The contract time is 60 working days. Bids must be submitted physically with a certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid. Proposals with qualifications will be considered irregular and not evaluated. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. Minority business enterprises will be given full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
