The City of Cle Elum is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide material testing services for two federally-funded tied projects: the HSIP City Safety Program project (signalized intersection safety improvements at W First St and Hartwig Blvd) and the STBG First Street and Oakes Avenue Resurfacing project. The projects include tasks such as installing signal upgrades, ADA ramp upgrades, constructing a mill and overlay, and pavement markings. The selected firm will be responsible for the material testing and provision of results for crushed surfacing, concrete, and asphalt, based on frequencies specified in the project specifications and the WSDOT Construction Manual. Proposals are limited to twenty pages (excluding specified cover materials) and must address key personnel, firm experience, ability to meet schedule, familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards and LAG Manual processes, in-house expertise, past performance/references, and provide a cost breakdown of services. All proposers must have a current approved Indirect Cost Rate (ICR) or Safe Harbor rate. There is a voluntary ten percent SBE requirement. Qualified disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned consultants are encouraged to respond.
