Oakmont is a community located approximately 8 miles east of downtown Santa Rosa and tucked into Sonoma County’s Valley of the Moon. This mostly residential community includes small businesses, and a local Homeowner’s Association offering various golfing and recreation opportunities to members. The community is located within the Wildland Urban Interface and is surrounded by hills, trees, countryside and vineyards. The area contains roads maintained by the City that will be included in the Project; however, many of the roads are owned and maintained by the Association and are excluded from the Project.
