Williams Realty and Investments Inc. is proposing the development of a concrete batch plant on a 38.4-acre parcel located on the north side of Power Line Road, approximately 7,003 feet from Lockhart Road in Hernando County, Florida. The request involves rezoning the property from Agricultural (AG) to Planned Development Project – General Commercial (PDP-GC) with specific C-4 uses. The concrete batch plant would occupy approximately five acres in the northwest portion of the site, operate Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and employ an estimated 30 to 50 workers. The project is located within the I-75/SR-50 Planned Development District and has been designed with significant setbacks and buffering to mitigate impacts to nearby residential properties.
