Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kansas City, Missouri. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project requires a construction contractor to correct physical security infrastructure deficiencies identified in a Physical Security Study and Facility Condition Assessment for the Kansas City VA Medical Center main campus and Honor Annex. The work includes replacing obsolete and deteriorated fencing, correcting setback distances from mission-critical buildings, and addressing related site security deficiencies. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work. Construction activities include general construction and alterations; grading and drainage improvements; installation of fence posts and pilasters; construction of light and camera poles; installation of signage and access control poles; and the removal of existing structures as required. Electrical work includes providing and installing lighting, controls, and power systems necessary to support the security improvements. Technology work includes telecommunications, safety, and security systems associated with the physical security infrastructure. All work shall be completed within an approximate period of performance of 290 calendar days. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated construction cost magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
