Baird Independent School District ("District") is accepting responses to a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") fromqualified design-build firms for the design and construction of the District's Vocational Agriculture Barn Project pursuant to Texas Government Code Chapter 2269. Project 1: Vocational Agriculture Barn Provide Design-Build services for the construction of a new vocational agriculture barn of approximately 10,000 square feet on District property located at 600 W 7th Street, Baird, Texas 79504. The facility will be used exclusively for livestock in connection with the District’s agricultural education program. The design shall include appropriate ventilation, drainage, and animal handling provisions consistent with livestock facility best practices. Utilities (electricity, water, sewer) are available on the property. The site plan and geotechnical report are available upon request. Project 2: Maintenance Building Provide Design-Build services for the construction of a new maintenance building of approximately 1,500 square feet on District property at the same location. The facility will serve as the District’s primary maintenance operations and equipment storage facility. Utilities (electricity, water, sewer) are available on the property. Both Projects are located on existing school property. The selected firm shall be responsible for design, engineering, and construction of both structures. Separate cost accounting is required for each Project.
