The City of Pueblo Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a qualified Contractor to remove existing fence, remove trees/shrubs and level turf along the fence line, and install new 4' commercial chain link fence along Nuckolls Avenue in City Park adjacent to the Elmwood Short 9 golf course. Submitted prices shall include all charges for administration, supervision, labor, fencing, hardware, materials, supplies, shipping/handling, unloading, insurance, and tools/equipment necessary to complete the work for this project as outlined within this Invitation for Bid. Contractor shall complete each major work item below and obtain inspection/approval from City's Project Manager before starting the next phase of work. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: May 27, 2026, 4:00 pm Removal of Existing Fence and Trees/Shrubs: Remove and dispose of approximately 2365 linear feet of 4' chain link fence. This includes removal of all posts, gates, concrete, and chain link fabric. Contractor shall also remove all trees, tree stumps, shrubs, and remnants of trees/shrubs that have grown into the existing fence. Trees, tree stumps, shrubs, and remnants of trees/shrubs shall be ground down or dug out and properly disposed. All remnants of old stumps must be below final grade surface. Any costs for disposal of fence, fence materials, concrete, trees/shrubs, any trash/waste shall be included in Contractor's Grand Total. Leveling of Fence Line: Contractor shall perform all grading and level all of the fence line to prepare the ground/surface for installation of new fence. If necessary, holes from previous fence posts, tree stumps/shrubs, roots, etc. may need to be filled with new material. Any costs to provide new and acceptable fill material shall be included in the Contractor's Grand Total. Installation of New Fence, Gates, Etc.: Contractor shall completely and professionally, in a workmanlike manner, install all fence, gates, etc. Notes: Contractor must provide a one-year workmanship warranty for all work performed for this project. Question Submission Deadline: May 27, 2026, 4:00pm Only experienced Contractors will be considered. If a license is required for any of the work to be performed, Contactor shall possess necessary licenses at Contractor's expense. If any work requires permits/applications, Contractor shall provide all permits/applications at Contractor's expense. Complete Work On Time Work must be completed within 60 calendar days from authorization to proceed. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any or all items covered in the IFB, to waive informalities or defects in bids or to accept any bid as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. All awards shall be contingent upon appropriation of the necessary funds and only after the receipt of a Purchase Order or Service Agreement.
