Renovation of an educational facility in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Scope of Work: a. Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, disposal, manifests, permits, and incidentals necessary for complete asbestos abatement and lawful disposal of asbestos floor tiles in multiple locations of the school totaling 371 square feet. b. The owner will be responsible for project design and air-testing. c. All work must comply with state and federal statutes including AHERA. d. Contractors must possess all applicable Massachusetts asbestos licenses required by the Department of Labor Standards (DLS) for this work. e. Contractor shall be responsible for all required DEP/DLS asbestos notifications and associated fees unless otherwise noted. f. OSHA standards shall be followed by the contractor. The project scope, descriptions, and quantities have been revised as follows: _ Room 37: Clarified to include "Computer Lab #2" to accurately reflect the proper building floor map location name. _ East Wing First Floor: Revised to a total of 38 tiles. (Note: This area is now designated as a Regulated Asbestos-Containing Material (RACM) Floor Tile Abatement Area). _ Second Floor Hallway: Revised to 5 areas with a total of 84 tiles. _ Room 12: Added location note clarifying tile is located under the sink. _ Front Office: Revised to 3 areas with a total of 10 tiles. _ ETL: Revised to a total of 6 tiles. _ Total Estimated Quantity: The total estimated area of abatement is now 412 square feet to reflect the above changes.
