Question Deadline 06/11/2026 at 5:00 PM ET Questions can be posted online The Town of Hopkinton is seeking proposals to replace Hardwood flooring in Hopkinton Public Library located at 13 main st , Hopkinton MA 01748. SCOPE OF WORK: ELLSWORTH ROOM HARDWOOD FLOORING REPLACEMENT 1. Remove & Dispose old flooring. 2. Disposal to be done in accordance with all local regulations. 3. Report any subfloor damage, moisture issues, or high spots to the owner prior to work. 4. Inspect subfloor, repair and secure as needed . 5. If any section of subfloor needs replacement a change of order can be issued based on the bid prices provided . 6. All square footage to be confirmed during walkthrough . 7. Replace hardwood floor with quarter sawn white oak (nominal 3/4" to the best of our knowledge ) .Vendor to check and match the existing one so it does not affect the leveling of the floor 8. Square footage of the existing hardwood floor is approximately 450 square feet. The Vendor must measure the area during the walk through for accurate measurements. 9. The finished floor to be stained and polyurethaned with stain color to be selected by the Library staff . Vendors have to provide samples of colors and stains for library staff to choose. 10. Furniture will be moved by Town Staff. 11. Not all Caseworking to be removed. Details will be provided during the walk through. 12. White oak shoe molding to be added between the intersection of the existing casework and the new hardwood floor. 13. In case if subflooring needs replacement , SYP OSB can be used instead of the pine boards . 14. All work to be performed based on prevailing wages and Applicable Procurement Law: M.G.L. c. 149, s. 44A; M.G.L. c. 30, _ 39M. 15. Installation pattern to be in the opposite direction of the subfloor.
