The project will consist of the construction of a concrete pad/pit for vacuum truck dumping. The project will be located at the Gulf Shores wastewater treatment facility. Bidders shall submit pre-qualification statement a minimum of 10 days prior to the bid opening. The prequalification statement shall include the contractor's full legal name, contractor's licenses, address, and a minimum of 3 references for similar projects completed within the last 5 years. Passing the prequalification stage is a mandatory prerequisite for receiving the full bid package and having the final bid considered. All bids must be on the bid forms provided in the Bid Documents. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security equal to 5% of the bid price, but in no event more than $10,000.00. Bid Security shall be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check payable to The Gulf Shores Utilities Board. No Bid Security is required on bids less than $10,000.00. All bids, with their guarantee (when required), must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly identified on the outside as "Sealed Bid" with Project Name, Gulf Shores Utilities' Name and Address, Bidder's Name and Address, Bidder's State of Alabama Contractor's License Number, and date of the bid opening. Each bid must be in a separate envelope. Bids made out in pencil will not be accepted. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to assure receipt of the bid at the Gulf Shores Utilities Board's Office prior to the published time for the bid opening. Failure to observe the instructions contained herein will constitute grounds for rejection of your bid. Gulf Shores Utilities Board reserves the right to accept or reject all bids or any portion thereof whichever is in the best interest of the Board.
