Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Contractor will provide the equipment and services for the scope of work below. The steel work is highlighted in Green for this contract. Other work will be done by Premier Mechanical and/or the Schools. SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY FOR STEEL DRAWING ATTACHED: 1. Remove existing dunnage frames associated with both units as indicated. 2. Remove existing HSS stub posts where required and clean tops of existing column caps prior to new steel installation. 3. Fabricate and install new roof-top dunnage frames for RTU #1 and RTU #2 per structural plans and details. 4. Install HSS 4x4x1/4" stub posts down to existing roof steel as indicate and as per details. 5. Set all dunnage steel level; provide plate steel shims below dunnage beams as required where roof steel slopes. 6. Provide 3/8" fitted stiffener plates welded to beam webs at all concentrated load/isolator locations as indicated 7. Contractor shall verify all dimensions before fabrication and confirm all details are compatible with existing conditions. 8. Contractor to submit shop drawings to Daigle Engineers, Inc. for review prior to fabrication. 9. All exposed steel to be hot-dip galvanized. 10. All bolted connections in galvanized members to use hot-dip galvanized A325 high-strength bolts. 11. All welding by AWS-certified welders. 12. Contractor is solely responsible for all site safety, means & methods. 13. Contractor is responsible for providing crane to get materials on and off roofing. 14. Contractor responsible for removal of demo material from site and disposal. PROPOSED SEQUENCE (STEEL SCOPE IN GREEN): 1. MEP disconnect and make-safe of existing unit (Sheetmetal, Electrical, Piping) - by Premier Mechanical 2. Removal of (2) existing units from rooftop - by Premier Mechanical 3. Roof opened up for steel support work at both locations - by Town/School 4. Demo of existing steel per structural drawings at RTU#1 & #2 - by Steel Contractor 5. Install of new steel per structural drawings at RTU#1 & #2 - by Steel Contractor 1. Note that cranes will need to be carried by Steel Contactor for this scope of work 6. Rigging and install of new curb adapters to roof for new units RTU#1 & #2 - by Premier Mechanical 7. Roof work for new curbs - by School 8. Rigging and install of RTU #1 & #2 on top of new curbs - by Premier Mechanical 9. MEP connections (Sheetmetal, Electrical, Piping) - by Premier Mechanical 10.
