Description

Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Guntersville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of a "Storm Shelter at Holiday Shores Located in District 2." Bids must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the owner, with evidence of a valid license displayed on the outside of the envelope. Each bid must include a certificate of E-Verify, Certificate of Insurance, and a certified check, bank draft, or bid bond equal to five percent of the bid (not to exceed $10,000). The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract price. Contractors and any subcontractors with contracts exceeding $50,000 must be licensed according to Alabama State Law. The project is tax-free for materials, and the contractor will be given forms to purchase materials tax free. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technical errors if it serves the owner's best interests. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty days after the bid opening. Any successful bidder who withdraws their bid within the 30-day period may forfeit the bid bond.
