In general, the major work items include: The demolition and disposal of the existing bridge structure and supports, including existing abutments, foundations, and footings, and the installation of two new concrete abutment structures, footings, and wingwalls, the placement and installation of a pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge. Additional improvementsto the landing and pathway areas including asphalt pavement replacement, concrete curb replacement,bollards, and handrails. Channel restoration work includes riprap placement.
