Remove existing VCT flooring/carpet and replace with monolithic flooring in both RFM 4235 & 4240. Install new blackout blinds/shades for RFM 4235 & 4240. Remove door in RFM 4235 to RFM 4234A. Patch and paint in RFM 4235 & 4240. Install track with blackout curtains for experiments as shown on plans in RFM 4240. Separate power in the room for the curtain area so the lighting can be independently operated. Install upper and lower cabinets with 4'-0"W sink (size adjustable) and a double-barrel drench hose near the window in RFM 4240. Install additional upper and lower cabinets asshown on plans. Install counter-height outlets. Provide an Exhaust Hood Fume Extraction Arm, not a fume hood, in RFM 4240, to cover 4 work zones. Selection of a qualified and experienced Contractor for the RF MITTE Rooms 4240 and 4235 Labs project located on the San Marcos Campus. Customer to clear both rooms before start of construction. Please see the scope of work below and on the provided construction drawings and specification for the project: 1. Plan for mini refrigerator to have back-up power in RFM 4240. 9. Remove cabinets to allow space for a 4'-0"W refrigerator in RFM 4235. Provide back-up power at this location in RFM 4235. 10. Remove existing fume hood and replace with two 4'-0"W fume hoods with sink, compressed air, and additional gas taps in RFM 4235 per Campus Standards. Provide an Exhaust Hood Fume Extraction Arm, if viable for a BSL-1 lab, in RFM 4235 at one of the lab worksurfaces, to cover 4 work zones. 11. Install new sink by the fume hood in RFM 4235. Project Summary PROJECT SUMMARY SCOPE OF WORK AND SPECIFICATIONS 12. Install all new upper and lower cabinets in RFM 4235 & 4240 with mobile pedestals and stools to meet BSL-1 standards. Install new sink with double-barrel drench hose where existing sink is location in RFM 4235. 13. Install counter-height outlets. 14. Provide compressed air lines for workstations in RMF 4235 & 4240. 15. Need testing an balancing to be done in RFM 4235 & 4240 as well as commissioning of the hoods per Campus Standards. 16. Delivered determined items that will be delivered to Materials Management Warehouse, like the two existing overs in RFM 4235. Provide samples of lab cabinets and flooring. Please include swatch for paint color to coordinate. Testing and balancing of the space is needed. Third party testing and commissioning of the fume hoods will be done by Owner.
