Demolition, site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a multi-residential development.

Escambia County is soliciting bids for the demolition and construction of a single-family dwelling per attached plans and written specifications. The contractor must be licensed in the State of Florida as a Certified or Registered General Contractor, Building Contractor, or Residential Contractor and must be in good standing with Escambia County. The contractor must have a Division One Contractor's License that includes Escambia County Building and Inspections Department. All work performed must be inspected (rough and final) and conform to County Ordinances, State Laws, and Florida Building Code. Permits, overhead, insurance, and profit must be included in each itemized price. All permits must be paid for and obtained by the contractor. The site plan, construction plans, and zoning have been approved by the Escambia County Building Department and Development Services Department. The awarded contractor must provide a termite treatment statement for plan and permit release. All materials and supplies must be installed per manufacturer's instructions and industry standards for new construction. Bids must consider elevation and grade for necessary materials and labor. Materials or equipment cannot be staged on adjacent properties. Contractors are responsible for investigating site conditions, ensuring project compliance with the scope of work, construction plans, permitting requirements, and Florida Building Code, as well as being familiar with the grade and topography of the property. Contractors are also responsible for obtaining construction plans for the job site, obtaining all required permits, providing temporary utilities and portable toilet, securing the site and materials, providing warranty documents and a one-year limited warranty, maintaining the lawn until project completion, and submitting all required forms and documentation as part of the bid process. Payment will be disbursed according to progress and completion of specific milestones, with final payment contingent upon completion, inspection approvals, and submission of warranty paperwork and other documentation. Bids must be submitted electronically via the e-procurement portal, accompanied by all required forms, certifications, and a bid bond equivalent to 5% of the total bid price.
