The City seeks qualified companies to furnish and install approximately 119,584 feet of 864-count ribbon OSP Fiber Optic Cable using the third duct of the existing City fiber optic ring network. The project involves a two-step process: Step 1 is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), where respondents must submit their qualifications, experience, and technical competence for performing the outlined services. Qualified respondents from Step 1 will move to Step 2, which is a Request for Proposal (RFP) involving a detailed proposal that includes assessment, implementation, technical specifications, and a cost proposal. Selected bidders must execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement before receiving further project details or proceeding in the process. The project scope includes two main elements: core fiber ring expansion into existing fiber ducts and expanding laterals to key City buildings. The network area covers approximately 22.65 miles of conduit with three innerducts, and the City plans to expand the capacity by installing new fiber into one of the ducts as the current fiber ring is nearly at capacity.
