Description

Renovation of a fire / police facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

The work consists of concrete and waterproofing repairs within the active Winnipeg Police Services facility. The work must be sequenced and phased to allow for continuous use and occupancy by the Winnipeg Police Service. Contractors are to develop and implement dust and silica protection procedures to safeguard workers and prevent dust and silica migration to other occupied areas of the facility. The scope includes localized removal and replacement of a bonded concrete overlay to the Level 1 slab, localized horizontal top surface, through slab and soffit repairs to the concrete structural slab, localized vertical concrete repairs, localized concrete repairs to concrete encased steel beams, localized trough strapping of concrete encased steel beams, localized crack repairs, and localized recoating of the traffic bearing membrane to the Level 1 slab. Bidders should refer to the City of Winnipeg Green Building Policy and the Universal Design Policy as applicable to the services.
