Areas that are considered fire separations include, but not limited to fire dampers, corridors, exit stairwells, service rooms/spaces, mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, boiler rooms, elevator shafts and janitor closets. Scope will include doors, door openings, and hardware for stairwell doors, fire exit doors, doors to mechanical rooms, electrical rooms and janitor's closets. Also, noted penetrations in mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, janitor's closets, and vertical shafts and ducts must be fire stopped at the appropriate fire rating. Study should include cost to correct deficiencies in fire separations. Consultant to provide drawings identifying fire separations and provide estimated cost to correct identified deficiencies.
