Enabling Wet Utilities works required for the Downtown Brampton Flood Protection Project, in accordance with the attached drawings and specifications. The work to be performed under this contract consists of all work shown on the Contract Drawings and Specifications, and includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Furnish all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary for the construction of wet utilities by trenching, including but not limited to a. Removal and off-site disposal of existing utilities as indicated on contract drawings, inclusive of excavation and backfill to design subgrade; b. Supply and installation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers and water mains (temporary and/ or permanent as required), connections of new utilities to existing and/or new services (as required), and excavation and backfill of all utility trenches, dewatering and conveyance to Water Treatment Plant (if required), and management of excavated soils, all as per contract documents; c. Supply and installation of all materials required for catch basins, manholes, and catch basin - manhole combos (CBMH) including but not limited to grates, covers and frames; d. Flush sewer and CCTV inspection of all storm and sanitary sewers for verification as per Contract documents; e. Pressure testing, chlorination, and bacteriological testing as per Contract documents; f. Permits which may be required for the completion of the work (road cut permits, sanitary discharge permits, closure permits, etc..) g. Hard surface removals and restoration where required to facilitate removals or installation of new utilities; h. Provisional Item Supply and installation of gravity sewer line running on the Eastern Channel bank from Queen Street to Scott Street; Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
