The City of Allen, Texas is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Animal Shelter Storage Building. The City of Allen ("City") is seeking to construct a new storage building at the Allen Animal Shelter property. This storage building will be used to store non-perishable materials and donations received by the Animal Shelter. PROJECT LOCATIONS: Allen Animal Shelter 770 S Allen Heights Dr, Allen, Texas 75002 QUESTION DEADLINE JUNE 11, 2026 @ 2:00 P.M CT ADDENDA DEADLINE JUNE 15, 2026 @ 2:00 P.M CT Construct a storage building made of Concrete Mason Unit (CMU) walls with metal pitched roof to match the construction, color, and design of the existing Animal Shelter building. The storage building will be required to be constructed to meet all applicable City, Allen Land Development Code, and International Building Code 2021 codes, particularly as they relate to performance-based codes. Additionally, the following desired considerations are to be incorporated into the storage building construction: o 12' W x 20' L x 10' H (wall height) o Concrete (engineered) foundation o 8' W access ramp from driveway to storage building door (not to exceed 8% slope) o Doors o Outward opening o No transition in doorway o Weather strip o Takes A12 interchangeable lock cores (to be supplied by City) o Wide enough to accommodate palate and palate jack o No windows on door o Loft (8-ft off ground, covering back 6-ft (length) of storage building & spanning full width)
