Construction and installation of the Golden Gem Reclaim Water Pump Station. The Golden Gem Reclaimed Water Storage and Pumping Station is a capital improvement project for theCity of Apopka, Florida that will construct a new Reclaimed Water Transfer Pump Station at the City's existing West Reuse Storage System site on Golden Gem Road. The facility will draw reclaimed water by gravity from two existing lined storage ponds -- totaling approximately 320 million gallons of capacity -- and pump it back into the City's reclaimed water distribution system as needed. Key improvements include a cast-in-place concrete wet well, vertical turbine pumps, a pressurized screen filter, an electrical building with VFDs and emergency generator, and full SCADA system, all designed by City's consultant Wright-Pierce, Inc. Question Deadline 06/15/2026 at 11:59 PM ET 1. Construction of: a. Concrete wetwell with four, vertical turbine pumps and stub outs for two, future, vertical turbine pumps; b. Discharge piping and valves; c. Automatic mechanical filters; d. Electrical building with VFDs; e. Access roadway and driveway; f. Piping, site work, equipment systems, structures, instrumentation, control and electrical systems, as indicated on the Drawings. g. Other appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and specified herein. 2. Maintain existing reclaimed water distribution flow to the existing reservoirs as detailed in Part 3 of this section. B. Removals, Relocations and Rearrangements 1. Examine the existing site for the work of all trades which will influence the cost of the work under the bid. This work shall include removals, relocations and rearrangements which may interfere with, disturb, or complicate the performance of the work under the bid involving systems, equipment, and related service lines, which shall continue to be utilized as part of the finished project. The Contractor is responsible for all coordination in this regard. 2. Provide in the bid a sufficient amount to include all temporary facilities, labor, tools, and equipment necessary to maintain flows during the construction period, including temporary piping, taps, temporary metering, etc. 3. Provide in the bid a sufficient amount to include all removals, relocations, and reconnections herein specified, necessary or required to provide approved operation and coordination of the combined new and existing systems and equipment.
