New construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Poplarville, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility.
Sealed bids will be received for the Pearl River County Elections Storage Building. Plans and specifications are available at the office of the Pearl River County Purchase Clerk. Bidders shall submit bids based on the total bid amount. The successful bidder will be determined by the total bid, but the Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject all bids. Pearl River County is requesting sealed bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for construction of a pre-engineered metal building and concrete slab foundation. BUILDING SPECIFICATIONS A. Base building size shall be approximately 50' x 60'. B. Alternate building size shall be approximately 40' x 80'. Alternate bid shall include the same building specifications, materials, wind load rating, insulation options, doors, awning, framing, roof panels, wall panels, and related requirements as the base bid unless otherwise noted. C. Building shall be designed for a minimum 120 MPH wind load. D. Building framing shall consist of a red iron framing system painted white. E. Eave height shall be 12'. F. Roof panels shall be 26-gauge galvalume metal. G. Wall panels shall be 26-gauge colored metal panels. H. Roof shall include standard roof pitch with R-panel ridge cap and trim. I. Contractor shall provide pricing with and without 6" roof and wall insulation. J. Building shall include: 1. Two (2) 12' x 10' roll-up doors rated for 120 MPH wind load and insulation backing 2. Two (2) 3'-0" x 7'-0" personnel doors with half-glass upper panels 3. One 4' awning extending the full span across the roll-up door and personnel door. CONCRETE WORK A. Contractor shall provide a 4" thick 3000 PSI concrete slab. B. Base slab dimensions shall be approximately 50'-3" x 60'-3". C. Alternate slab dimensions shall be approximately 4O'-3" x 8O'-3". D. Perimeter footing shall be approximately 12" x 12". E. Contractor shall provide 36" x 36" x 36" column/support beam footings or as required by building manufacturer design. F. Slab shall include commercial fiber reinforcement. G. Concrete slab shall receive a smooth finish. H. Slab shall have 1 %" sheet ledge. I. Roll-up door openings shall include a 1 %" ledge and a 6" depth, finished at a 45 slope. (Coordinate with County Maintenance Director.) COUNTY PROVIDED WORK A. Asphalt removal. B. Site preparation. C. Compacted fill installation. D. Plumbing will be installed by the County. E. Contractor will be provided with a laydown area agreed upon by Contractor and County. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS A. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the project. B. Contractor shall provide engineered drawings as required. C. Contractor shall maintain all required insurance coverage. D. Contractor shall keep the job site clean and free of construction debris. E.
