Renovation of a military facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Working plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This is a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming construction project to provide new steel upper machinery housings for the gantry crane hoists at Conemaugh Lake. Work will include removal of the existing machinery housings down to the floor line, fabrication and installation of new steel housings, removal of portions of existing steel diamond plate flooring and replacement with open grating, installation of new floor hatches to allow personnel access and access to hoist limit switches, and replacement of associated electrical conduit, wiring, and lighting. The existing upper machinery houses are severely corroded with significant steel loss, allowing water intrusion that impacts hoist electrical and mechanical equipment, and the obsolete flooring and access hatches permit vermin intrusion that interferes with access to limit switches. The project will be solicited as a firm-fixed-price construction contract and set aside 100 percent for small businesses under NAICS 237990. The Invitation for Bids is anticipated to be issued on or about 15 June 2026 through PIEE and posted to SAM.gov, with a period of performance of 540 calendar days after notice to proceed. Location: Conemaugh Dam, Conemaugh Lake, 664 US-22, New Florence, PA 15944 The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
