Renovation of a medical facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,000-square-foot medical facility.
The Ottawa Humane Society is seeking a Design-Build team to provide professional design services under a Progressive-Design Build model for the renovation of 258 Durocher St. in Ottawa, ON. The selected design-build firm will undertake the retrofit of the building, approximately 10,000 sq. ft., to function as the new animal welfare hub. The scope includes incorporating a fully equipped and CVO accredited veterinary clinic to support underserved pet owners, offering preventative veterinary medicine, medical and surgical care for sick and injured pets, and eventually dental surgical care. Veterinary services will be provided in a portion of the site covering approximately 5,000 to 6,000 square feet. Entities that have previously provided professional services to OHS related to this project or site prior to the RFP process are ineligible to submit a proposal. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. Question Deadline 06/22/2026 at 12:00 AM ET Site Walkthrough: Any questions that require clarification or modification to the RFP requirements must be formally submitted by Proponents via MERX . No questions will be entertained during a Site visit. Only one site visit will be accommodated per proponent team (Contractor and Designer) to maintain space for all interested parties. No follow-up site visits as part of this procurement will be permitted.
