Site work and paving for a road / highway in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Town of Linwood is requesting bids for the LRIP road project on West River Drive West, which extends from 650 ft. south of Blue Heron Lane going south for 4,900 ft. The project includes traffic control responsibilities such as flagging, barricading, and advanced signage consistent with the MUTCD, as well as the provision of low shoulder signage. The scope of work involves milling and butt joints at project ends and driveways as needed, cleaning, sweeping, and applying tack coat prior to wedging, wedging the existing pavement to an average thickness of 1 inch, and paving the surface with WisDOT Spec Type LT Asphalt Mix compacted to an average thickness of 1.75 inches for a total of two lifts at 2.75 inches. Forta-Fi reinforcement fiber is to be added to the asphalt surface layer. The contractor must furnish and install a 4-inch base for 2-ft shoulders and driveway approaches. The work must comply with WisDOT specifications for materials and workmanship. Engineer certification and a certificate of liability insurance are required. All bidders must submit a completed proposal form in a sealed envelope marked 'Bid (West River Drive West Project).' The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any conditions of bidding, or accept any bid that may be most advantageous to the Town of Linwood.
