Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro) is requesting bids from qualified contractors to construct connecting sidewalks to the following bus stop locations at SE Bellview Avenue near the Town Homes at SE 25th Street, SE Indiana Avenue at 27th Street, and SE Indiana Avenue at 29th Street in the City of Topeka. This is a single-job contract. Contract must be completed November 1, 2026. Allowances for obtaining permits and tax exempt certificates, processing change orders and rain delays have been incorporated into the schedule. Contractor should show steady progress throughout the term of the contract. Topeka Metro's current DBE goal is 1.68%. There is no DBE goal for this contract. If your firm is a DBE, or if you will be sub-contracting with a DBE, please attach a copy of the current DBE certificate. Metro reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors. Proposer will be responsible for all aspects of this project, including but not necessarily limited to: o all construction materials and methods shall be in compliance with the City of Topeka Specifications; (See Appendix IV) o remove existing concrete and trees if necessary and construct new sidewalk; o follow all contract requirements on pages 3-11; o acquire all necessary licenses, certifications, and permits, and payment of fees for same; o have an engineer complete site staking in accordance with ADA requirements prior to excavation; o provide the original PDF file of the site plan when applying for City permits; o provide a pedestrian detour when sidewalks are closed due to construction; o provide a traffic control plan to the City of Topeka in conformance with city standards; o ensure that each site is ADA-accessible from/to curbs and sidewalks; o furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for satisfactory contract performance; o contractor will complete sod work immediately after pouring concrete and cleaning each site. o provide a one-year warranty from the date of Substantial Completion; o hire all subcontractors and ensure their compliance with contractual requirements; and, o ensure that the completed site is clean, any site damages repaired (i.e. sprinklers, sidewalks) to the property owner's satisfaction, and ready for use upon completion.
