Site work and renovation of a civil project in Siler City, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work covered by these technical documents consists of civil construction required to install pig launch stations on existing 4-inch and 6-inch force mains at the locations shown on the attached figures. The force main system conveys residual process effluent from the Siler City Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and extends approximately 7,200 linear feet. The system includes an interconnection with an existing 4-inch force main that collects wastewater from an industrial development, located approximately 5,800 linear feet from the WTP, as shown on the attached figures. Downstream of this interconnection, the two force mains combine into a single 4-inch force main that extends to the discharge point. The work includes, but is not limited to, excavation, installation of piping and appurtenances, connections to existing facilities, surface restoration, and coordination with existing utilities. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all appurtenances related to the Work. The Work shall be as follows: 1. Install permanent pig launching stations, including valves, piping, fittings, replacement of existing valves, and associated surface restoration. Pig launch station locations and orientation will be field-coordinated and approved by engineer prior to installation.
