Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the Highway 75 Water Main Upsize Project from 8th Street to Singing Hills Boulevard in Sioux City, Iowa. The project involves the replacement of approximately 12,250 linear feet of 24-inch water main. Each bid must be on the form provided and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check/draft for ten percent of the bid amount, payable to the City Treasurer. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, but the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise, and waive informalities. Preference is given to Iowa-grown products, provisions, coal, and domestic labor. The project must comply with State Revolving Fund Program requirements, including submission of all SRF forms, wage determination (Davis Bacon), and American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements. Good faith efforts to subcontract with disadvantaged business enterprises must be demonstrated. Specifications are the 2026 Iowa Statewide Urban Standard Specifications for Public Improvements as modified by the 2024 City of Sioux City Supplement.
