The selected consultant will prepare complete design plans and specifications for: lining and rehabilitation of the existing 5 million-gallon (MG) inground reservoir; construction of a 5 MG above-ground potable water storage tank; installation of a dedicated transmission main connecting the new reservoir to the distribution system; maintaining continuous operation of both inground reservoirs during construction; demolition of the 3 MG reservoir after commissioning of the new tank; and site preparation for a future second above-ground tank. All project bidding, construction administration, and inspection/closeout activities associated with the project must be performed with the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation Terms and Conditions. Interested firms should demonstrate experience with municipal potable water storage projects, water system master planning, implementation of distribution system planning and design, and provide examples of previous similar work. Submissions must include organizational summaries, staff resumes, resources or subconsultants, and testimonials from municipal clients. Five copies of qualifications must be submitted in sealed envelopes. Expenses incurred in preparation are borne by the firm. A detailed scope of services and fee proposal will be negotiated with the selected consultant after the selection process. Late submissions will not be accepted.
